After his studies in statistics and economics, he received his PhD in Data Science and was part of a research group for algorithmic optimization. Joscha is the author of numerous research papers, which are published in international journals. He also lectures in statistics and data science.

Away from work, Joscha keeps fit with kickboxing and Thai boxing. He is also a passionate gamer, musician and movie fan.
